Submitted by juliaparker on 8 December 2011 - 8:37amThe Adventure/Rugby DTS is currently on outreach in Vanuatu until after Christmas, when they are coming back to NZ for a few weeks outreach. Before they left we had a great time with the local kids at Epic Kids finishing the year with them.
2012 is going to be another exciting year for us - with the Young Couples and Rugby DTSs now established, we are looking forward to some more excellent schools.
A new branch to our tree of ministries is the Media for Missions DTS. Deane Patterson is a YWAMer from our local community who has many years professional experience in many aspects of digital media and production. His passion is presenting story well, and this DTS offers the opportunity to learn some skills in presenting media professionally. We use the story of the unfolding DTS but the skills learnt will be useful in many ways, whether you like film, still photography, audio - whatever! More information is coming soon under the schools tab.

Submitted by juliaparker on 20 October 2011 - 11:36amThe Adventure and Rugby DTS that we are running at the moment has been a roller-coaster ride!
Pioneering the Rugby DTS here is Isekeli from Fiji. The team of students and staff won their first ever entry into a Rugby 7's tornament, winning the Kawakawa Tournament outright!
But since then most of the students have had to leave, and now we have 7 students on base.
Through the process (and it's a long story, believe me) God is opening doors into the Fijian community in Whangarei and we have just held our first ever open meeting in Kamo! It was fantastic to be able to take news of YWAM into a new area and share the vision we have to see God transform communities to see His Kingdom come.
